(1) TFD (Transcription Factors Database) is now maintained as an object-oriented databse (ooTFD) , although certain portions of ooTFD may continue to be provided as a relational database(rTFD).

(2) Dataset files for sequence analysis such as Tfsites.dat and Tfdaa will continue to be provided in the same formats as in the past. Older, public versions of Tfdaa(4/5/00) and Tfsites.dat (7/31/07) can be found on the IFTI datasets directory. For licensed subscribers and users, IFTI materials are updated four times per year. The most recent TFD materials include 10590 IUPAC-based TF binding site entries (IFTI Tfsites 04/10) and 619 consensus matrix entries (IFTI Tfmatrix 08/09).

(3) For a subscription license to IFTI Tfsites, please visit the TFsites licensing page, or leave a message at the IFTI-MIRAGE message center . You may also send an email request to licensing@ifti.org. If you are a new user of ooTFD, Tfadvisor may be useful in determining the best approach for your query. Please visit the IFTI ooTFD page for general background information on ooTFD.
